Doctors told Bill no intervention or surgery was feasible and that his best option to keep his legs in tact was walking.
Bill admits that walking wasn’t easy.
In fact, it was painful at first.
The pain was so bad when he walked even just a few feet, that he had sought surgery to get relief.
He had no choice when his plaque had built up so much in his leg arteries to push through the excruciating pain if he wanted to have the best chance at avoiding amputation.
There were times Bill wanted to give up because he didn’t feel as though he was progressing.
But little by little he went further and further.
And while he is not 100% pain-free now, his symptoms have improved enough that he is not longer waking up from the pain and it’s not preventing him from performing his daily routine.
