I was blessed with the opportunity to share a huge milestone for a good friend Allen Schoonaert in the United States.

He has been waiting more than a year following an amputation, to get a prosthetic.

Allen has had so many hurdles to overcome on his journey to arrive at this moment from infections in his incisions, damage from falls, and acute clotting in his remaining leg.

It was nice to have this positive moment after so much chaos.

Having the prosthetic has given Allen so much hope again and seeing his independence that he can keep up with wife on the go, go back to work in the family business, and walk, walk, walk to grow collaterals in his remaining leg for the best chance at keeping that one in tact.
