That next step !
Tuesday evening, bent over trying to tie shoes for this evenings walk.
Feeling kinda dizzy, been really sick since last Friday.
Legs are hurting, chest hurts, have not slept in a day and can hardly eat.
Waiting in this hopefully nothing but a bug to pass.
Have not been able to walk Stella,  had my neighbor help.
Just taking a breath, door opens here we go, I want out of this trailer.
Stella looks at me like let’s go daddy.
My thoughts race with emotions of  please take this easy and just get through it.
At the turn around, stop for a second and take in a breath.
Ok you got this even with feeling bad.
That next step brings tears of hope.
That next step brings thoughts of courage.
That next step is one of strength.
Walking back up driveway, a smile is on my face with a simple thought:
No matter what happens minute to minute in this journey with PAD,
Everything is nothing and nothing is everything with that one simple thought and action…
